Preservation & Donations
Collections staff work very hard to properly care for, store, preserve, and exhibit our artifacts. The FHA holds its collection of artifacts in public trust. These are your artifacts, so we do everything we can to keep them safe and preserved.
We are always expanding and improving our collection. We are seeking any type of artifact that is related to the Franconian colonies or people that lived in the Franconian colonies. If you have an artifact or photograph to donate, please contact the Collections Manager at [email protected].

Research & Genealogy
The FHA allows independent researchers to conduct research at the museum with the archival collection and the research collection. The FHA maintains a collection of materials and files used for research that are not a part of the artifact collections. Use of any materials from the permanent collection requires the authorization and supervision of the Collections Manager.
Appointments are required for research! Please contact the Collections Manager at [email protected] to schedule an appointment. Genealogists may conduct research at the FHA with the Association’s genealogical resources. Genealogy research assistance is provided as part of all Association memberships. Appointments for genealogy research are required. Please contact the Collection Manager at [email protected] to schedule an appointment. |

Oral History Projects
Have a story to share? We’d like to hear it! We are inviting past & present community members to be interviewed by FHA staff to preserve their stories and the memories of Franconian history.
These interviews will be recorded on video to be put into our collection as digital artifacts. With the participants permission, we would be able to use these interviews for exhibits, education, lectures, etc. in the future.
Please consider letting us interview you! We often hear “My story isn’t relevant,” but we promise you, you are, and it is! If you have ever lived, worked, or worshiped in the Franken colonies, participated in any of our organizations or foundations, or if your family is from one of the Franken colonies and has told stories, YOU are a part of our history! Your stories help us to preserve, communicate, and celebrate the history and heritage of this community.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out the form below. This will help us customize your interview & know what types of questions to ask. It will automatically send us your responses when it is completed and we will be in touch with you soon!
