We would like to announce the beginning of our Oral History Project! In the past the museum has assisted in doing interviews that deal with the Bayerisch German Dialect that is common in the Franken Colonies. However, we are looking to complete updated interviews and expand them to include others who are connected to the Franken Colonies communities and are willing to share their stories!  Each interview will be different for each participant, based on their history and experiences.

These interviews will be recorded on video to be put into our collection as digital artifacts.  With the participant's permission, we would be able to use these interviews for exhibits, education, lectures, etc. in the future.

Please consider letting us interview you! Now, you may be thinking "I wouldn't be interesting to interview" or "my story isn't relevant," but I promise you, you are, and it is! If you have ever lived, worked, worshipped in the Franken colonies, participated in any of our organizations or foundations, or if your family is from one of the Franken colonies and has told stories, YOU are a part of our history! Your stories help us preserve, communicate, and celebrate the history and heritage of the Franken colonies!

This is an ongoing project, so if you would like to participate but find you don't have time right now, that's fine!  You can participate now, next month, or a couple years from now--it's up to you!

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the form below.  This will help us customize your interview.  It will automatically send us your responses when it is completed, and we will be in touch with you soon!
