Frankenmuth Historical Association Cook Book, Volume III

Frankenmuth is noted for its fine food and the Volume III cook book will let you share in this tradition. The 665 recipes from over 200 donors, are a listing of family favorites in current use with historic recipes handed down by our ancestors and modernized to today's cooking practices. It contains almost 3 times the recipes found in Volumes I and II. In its 263 pages you'll find old favorites like German Spaetzle, a little poem on page 64, and "old home remedies." so popular that plans were made to publish Volume II. It includes new recipes, new hints, a short Frankenmuth history, and a piece called German Wit and Wisdom. In this cook book you'll find traditional German favorites such as Baked German Potato Salad and genuine Sauerbraten. On page 35 you will find a recipe for Grandma Liebermann's Easter Eggs, a natural way to dye eggs for the holiday. 86 pages. Binding allows cook book to lie flat.
